What is Magrom?

The game of magnetic carrom (Magrom) has been invented at IIIT-B, and is a unique game. It enhances the standard carom game, with magnetics, making pieces attract/repel each other, and swinging by or getting trapped at different places on the board. This creates a delightful game. Patented and Patents Pending.

Can we hit opposite coin in carrom?

No it does not count as a foul. I have been playing carrom matches professionally through clubs. In a standard match hitting opponents coin is absolutely okay to defend yourself.

Is backhand allowed in carrom?

Are backshots allowed in carrom? – Quora. Yes, they are allowed. Infact, there is no such rule as to not allowing to hit a coin because of its location on the board. Every coin is allowed to be hit, irrespective of its position.

What if striker goes with red coin?

If this is the first coin of yours pocketed along with striker, then the pocketed coin will be kept inside the board by your opponent and one due will be called. The due will be kept by your opponent immediately when you pocket your next coin. But you will be allowed to continue your strike.

What if cover goes before Queen?

Regardless of whether the Queen has been covered, the opponent’s piece is returned to the centre in addition to the penalty piece. A player pockets the final piece before the Queen has been covered. In this case both the pocketed piece and a penalty piece are returned to the centre.

What if striker goes with last coin?

If you pocket your opponent’s last coin, your own coin, the queen, and the striker then you will lose by 3 points. (1 point when the score of the opponent is 22 or more).

What if both Queen and cover goes together?

If queen goes first, then the cover goes, then it is secured; otherwise you have to cover it.

What if Queen and striker goes together?

a) If the Queen and the Striker are pocketed together by a proper stroke, the Queen shall be taken out for placing by the Umpire. An additional C/m shall be taken out for placing by the opponent and the player shall continue his turn.
