What is an EY2 form Ofsted?
You must apply to Ofsted if you want to take up a governance position in a daycare organisation, or if you start living or working in a home where daycare takes place.
What’s an EY2 form?
EY2 is the form that all persons connected with the registration – that is, the trustees, directors or owners – are required to complete during the initial registration process.
How long does an EY2 take?
You must supply the age group you will care for, times of care provided, place numbers, registered address, and details of other people in the house. It costs £35 to register and the online form takes around 30 minutes to complete. It will take up to 12 weeks after completing the form to successfully register.

What does a childminding assistant need?
If you become an assistant, you will need to take first aid training, have a DBS check and learn about child development, safeguarding and the EYFS. The childminder will be able to support you and point you in the right direction for what you need to do.
