Is hollyburn trail open?
Our Snowshoe trails are open from 9am-5:30pm. As the days are getting longer, Lights to the Lodge starts at the later time of 6pm. Enjoy an evening of snowshoeing through a beautifully lit forest up to Hollyburn Lodge. Lights to the Lodge is open from 6pm to 10pm daily.

Who owns Hollyburn Lodge?
Hollyburn Ski Lodge was renamed Hollyburn Lodge. On February 20, 2001, CBRL sold Cypress Mountain to an American company, Boyne USA. A new company, Boyne Canada, headed by John Kircher, was created to manage the ski operation. In the summer of 2003, Vancouver was awarded the 2010 Olympic/Paralympic Winter Games.
Is Cypress busy on weekends?
(1) the resort is always busy and there are usually long lift queues, (3) it is quiet apart from occasional weekends and school holidays, (5) it is uncrowded and lift queues are very rare.

Is hollyburn dog friendly?
Hollyburn Mountain, Cypress Provincial Park You and your dog can summit Hollyburn Mountain and admire the views down to Vancouver from the top. The 5-hour snowshoe trip leaves from the Cypress Nordic Ski Area. The first few kilometres meander through the forest, but the final push to the summit is steep and strenuous.
Which is better grouse Cypress or Seymour?
Seymour and Grouse are both pretty small, while Cypress is a fair bit bigger in both vert and area. Seymour has a reputation for being the friendliest, most ‘local’ of the three, and definitely makes the most effort with its parks; if you’re a park monkey, Seymour’s the hill for you.

Can I drive to Cypress without snow tires?
For the safety of all road users, Winter or M+S rated tires are mandatory for vehicles on Cypress Bowl Road at all times from October 1st to March 31st. Winter rated tires are strongly recommended during snowfall events.
Does Cypress have night skiing?
The night skiing area at Cypress Mountain is one of the largest in Canada. The slopes are floodlit during the season until 10 PM.

Can you take dogs snowshoeing at Cypress?
This snowshoeing trail, suitable for beginners, takes you to the bottom of the Cypress Mountain Nordic Ski Area and gives you a great view overlooking Vancouver. Well maintained and flagged although still free to visit, the trail is open from November through May, with dogs allowed on leash.
