RWD will always make for a better autocross car. But obviously, if you have too much power, that can make it more difficult to drive. But the same can be said of an overpowered FWD car. Lack of power in either a FWD or RWD car makes the car easier to drive because there’s one less thing to worry about (throttle).
How can I make my FWD better?
The key to FWD, is to slow the car down on approach to the corner, find the apex of the corner and to accelerate away in one smooth application. If you are having to release the throttle, or modulate the pressure on the pedal to stop the car from running wide, then you have already made a mistake 10 meters back.
