How long can a child take Movicol?
The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 4 sachets daily. Use in children aged 2 years and older should be limited to 12 weeks except under medical supervision. Movicol Junior Flavour Free is not recommended for children below 2 years of age.
How long does Movicol take to work?
MOVICOL® usually takes 1 to 2 days to trigger the first bowel movement.
Does Movicol make you poo more?

Does Movicol have side effects?
Like all medicines, Movicol Lemon-Lime can have side effects. Sometimes people have indigestion, stomach ache or rumbles. You may also feel bloated, suffer from wind, feel sick or vomit, may also experience soreness of the anus (bottom) and may have mild diarrhoea when starting to take Movicol Lemon-Lime.
How can I get my child to take Movicol?
Open the sachet and pour the contents into a glass. Add about 62.5 ml or ¼ glass of water to the glass. Stir well until all the powder has dissolved and the Movicol Paediatric Plain solution is clear or slightly hazy, then give it to your child to drink.
How much water should I drink with Movicol?
A dose of Movicol is 1 sachet dissolved in 125 ml (1/4 pint) of water. Take this 1 –3 times a day according to the severity of your constipation.
Can I use Movicol everyday?
The recommended dose of Movicol is 1 sachet a day. This can be increased to 2 or 3 sachets daily if necessary.
What is the side effects of Movicol?
